Flight Times
The flight time from the US to Delhi will depend on your departure airport and whether you can catch a direct flight or not, but the average direct flight time is between 14 and 16 hours.

Entry Requirements
US citizens traveling to Delhi will require a valid passport and Indian visa, which can be applied for with the Indian embassy.
However, if you’re only visiting as a tourist, for less than 30 days, you can apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization in lieu of a visa.
These must be applied for at least four days before your arrival and can be applied for on the Indian government’s website.

The Airport
Delhi is currently only served by one major airport, Indira Gandhi International (DEL). The airport is situated about seven miles southwest of New Delhi and is the busiest in South Asia.
To get from Terminal 3 (the international terminal) to the city, you can catch the Delhi Metro Airport Express train, which connects to the city center as well as other suburban towns, and takes just over 20 minutes to New Delhi station.
You can also choose to book a prepaid taxi at a counter in the arrival lounge.
