Entry Requirements

US visitors heading to Japan won’t need a visa for tourism or business visits of up to 90 days. However, you must hold a valid passport and an onward or return ticket during your stay and Japanese immigration officials may refuse you entry if you appear to have no visible means of support.

Foreign nationals are also required to provide a fingerprint scan and be photographed at the airport.
