Flight Times
Flight times from the US to Lagos will vary depending upon your departure airport, but direct flights can take as little as 10-11 hours.
Of course, indirect flights will take longer, and will probably require a lengthy stopover en route.
Entry Requirements
In addition to a valid US passport, US citizens will also need to be in possession of a Nigerian visa, which you can obtain from a Nigerian embassy or consulate before you travel.
If entering Nigeria on a tourist visa, you can only stay in the country for an aggregate of 56 days in a year and must get an extension if you wish to stay longer.

Currently, only Arik Air (from New York JFK) and Delta (from Atlanta) offer direct flights from the US to Lagos, but there are numerous airlines offering connecting services, including:

The Airport
Lagos is only served by one major international airport, Murtala Muhammed International (LOS).
The airport is located about 9.5 miles northwest of downtown Lagos, in the northern suburb of Ikeja.
It’s recommended that you rent a car or pre-book a taxi, as public transport can be unreliable.
The journey can take between 30 and 60 minutes and will set you back around ?5000 ($16).
