If you’re flying to Indonesia, here’s everything you’ll to know, including flight times and entry requirements.
Flight Times
Unfortunately, there are no direct flights available from the US to Indonesia so you’ll need to catch a connecting flight to get there. Stopovers are located in east Asia, with airlines offering connections from cities such as Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
This means that flight times can vary substantially depending on your route but they can take anywhere up to 24 hours, so be prepared for a long journey!
Entry Requirements
US travellers heading to Indonesia need to have a passport which is valid for at least six months from the date of your arrival, but you won’t require a visa as long you’re visiting for tourism and are staying for less than 30 days.
If you’re travelling for other purposes, then you can apply for a visa on arrival for a fee of $35.
You’ll also have to pay a departure tax when you leave the country, which varies depending on the airport that you’re travelling from.
